Sitting in the meadows
On a warm summer day
I patiently await
The butterfly matinee
To watch them dip for nectar
And flutter both their wings
and off into the distance
hearing yellow finches sing
I sit and often wonder
Why some people cannot see
these simple pleasing moments
that God has given thee
